Nesting Cactus Wrens

A little quiet in Embudito Canyon this morning, but a nice mix of birds, a few of whom were willing to sit for a photograph, including this Gambel’s Quail

The real highlight of the day, however, was seeing that the Cactus Wrens near the mouth of the canyon have decided to build a nest in a big cholla.
